My name is Amanda Minor. I am the Administrator at the Douglas County Health Department. I have a Masters in Public Health (MPH), and I am a Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner (LEHP). I am certified to teach Food Service Sanitation Manager Courses (FSSMC) and CPR, AED, and First Aid. I attended Indiana State University for my undergrad in Biology and Environmental Health. I received my graduate degree from University of Illinois in Chicago. I have worked as the Administrator for the Douglas County Health Department since May 2004. My husband is Dave, and works as a Lean Coordinator at the GSI plant in Paris. He also received his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in Business Administration and Management and received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from there as well. We have three children: Bo, who is 11, Brock, who will be 9 in October, and Becca, who is 5. We enjoy baseball all year round. When we are not playing for the Champaign Dream travel baseball team, we find time to play baseball in the yard, pole barn, basement, and anywhere we can pitch and catch. I live in Paris and appreciate the small town atmosphere of Douglas County. My father is a farmer and my mother was a nurse and now enjoys her grandchildren. From my parents, I get my love for the environment and my willingness to contribute to the wellness of the community.
